Conveying and Cooling in Foundries
The gentle conveying of sand bales in sand casting operations is essential for the quality of the component finally produced. To reach the highest possible quality, AUMUND produces cooling conveyors of type KZB in corresponding design with a plate width up to 2400 mm. The AUMUND cooling conveyor was specifically designed for the safe transport of delicate parts. The flat plates form an even surface with a tight plate overlapping which is perfectly adapted for a gentle conveying and smooth transfer of castings. Moreover, this allows the efficient cooling of the castings in the undamaged mould.
In addition, the application of an AUMUND cooling conveyor guarantees a low emission of dust and noise. The conveyor shown has a plate width of 800 mm and conveys 138 sand bales of 500 kg each per hour over a distance of 53 m.
