Hot transport of Direct Reduced Iron

The direct reduction is a modern process with increasing importance for iron production. In various direct reduction processes the transport of hot iron ore or iron is required in fine-grained, pelletized, compacted or briquetted form. This material may be transported smoothly with AUMUND special conveyors (upon request in inert atmosphere and with heat insulation) in temperatures up to 900°C . Conveying capacities up to 400 t/h, center distances up to 175 m and conveying heights up to 110 m have already been realized.
For this application AUMUND can present various references, e.g. the AUMUND Bucket Apron Conveyor at POSCO (Korea) with the so far largest conveyor worldwide (as per July 2005).
